What is a haiku?

It is a traditional Japanese poetic form that consists of three lines with a total of 17 syllables, arranged in a 5-7-5 pattern. It often focuses on nature and aims to capture a moment or evoke an emotional response.

What is a tanka?

Similar to a haiku it is a traditional Japanese poetic form that contains 5 lines consisting of 31 syllables, arranged in a 5-7-5-7-7 pattern.

What is a quatrain?

A quatrain is a type of stanza or poem that consists of four lines. It can stand alone as a complete poem or be part of a larger poem, often featuring various rhyme schemes.

What is an Etheree?

An Etheree is a poem structure that consists of multiples of 10 lines. The first line contains 1 syllable, the second 2 syllables, and so on until the tenth line of 10 syllables. This can be repeated or reversed.

Why do you write bad poetry?

It is a lot of fun. It also helps to get thoughts out of my head and processed.
